If the Grinch stole Christmas, I suppose that it would follow that Covid 19 is the culprit guilty of really messing with New Year’s this year.
Thanksgiving is all about family and food, no one in their right mind would attempt to screw that up. Thanksgiving dinner was awesome at Orchard Hill. Most guests weathered the brisk fall air and ate out-of-doors. Some ate in their rooms watching football, while others sat down at a table in the dining room and refused to move. We had assembled our dinners in apple crates for take-out…it worked.
Then most of California fell into the deep abyss of the purple tier and sent all businesses scrambling. The kitchen and staff have elevated breakfast and dinner to room service with the help of Sysco, Amazon and multiple other restaurant suppliers. What we will do with all this stuff after this is over is another thing. Right now we are following protocol and more importantly – Orchard Hill and Julian are very safe. All trails are open and the air is divine.
Happy Holidays to each of you. We thank you for your loyal and continued support.
Pat and Darrell
P.S. It’s not too early to make reservations for Valentine’s Day dinner and stay. ;)
