Christmas comes to Julian every year in an old-fashioned way. The holidays in Julian gets closer to the winter dream than most spots in Southern California. You'll feel a nip in the air, sniff wood fires, and perhaps catch a glimpse of snow-capped mountains surrounding the town.
Julian celebrates the start of the holiday season this Saturday, November 28, with performers set for appearances up and down Main Street, as well as the traditional setting in the Pioneer Museum Park. The day will culminate with the lighting of our town's 80-foot Christmas tree.
During the weekend, you can also indulge in a Victorian Christmas afternoon tea at the tea shop, sing Christmas carols with costumed holiday carolers, and sip a cup of hot chocolate or spiced cider. You can also watch the annual Living Nativity tableau or cuddle under a blanket while riding down Main Street in a carriage.
We hope that you visit us for this winter initiation.
Our best to all of you,
Pat, Darrell, and the staff of Orchard Hill
PS Don't forget our dining special: if you stay Sunday and Monday nights and have our four-course dinner on Sunday, your second night is half price.
Also, consider giving a certificate toward a stay at Orchard Hill as a holiday gift.
